Shadows of Shadows
Shadows of Shadows
48 × 36 Acrylic and Enamel
Dubes 2025
Shadows of Shadows is my exploration of the invisible structures that exist beneath perception — the echoes behind the echo, the darkness behind the dark. Built through layered pours of black, steel, and graphite enamel, the piece forms a horizontal “atmospheric band,” like a deep-space seascape where light has forgotten to return.
The surface reveals micro-topographies created by gravitational pulls in the paint, forming ridges, fractures, and soft dissolves. These are the “shadows” cast not by objects, but by forces the kind we sense without seeing.
This work lives in the tension between presence and absence, weight and weightlessness.
It’s a meditation on void-behavior, memory residue, and the way form emerges from formlessness.
Bold enough for a modern minimal interior.
Quiet enough for meditation spaces.
Dark enough to feel alive at night.
